…it indicates how pathetic much of our web design is when our visitors increasingly turn to third party applications simply to read our sites’ content. It also suggests that those who don’t design for readers might soon not be designing for anyone. - Jeffery Zeldman

If you know me, you know I’m always pushing designs that favor the reader and highlight the content. And you may have heard me say, “I like where this is going, but you could make the type larger.”

And we’re back…

Been crazy with life and all that. Time to get back to what’s important–the internet!

I’ve been thinking a lot about how as site grow more and more complex the attention to detail and starts to wane. After many hand off and may hands making little changes to their little realms of a site cracks start showing up and things degenerate quickly.

What ever are we to do? Front end style guides. Let’s remember to leave a trail for so that those who follow don’t get lost.

Here’s a great article on the subject from the wonderful mind of Anna Debenham. What do you think? How do you document you’re process.
